Stillwater - Demos (Early 1980'S) (1980)

One of the rarest findings over the net, Warner Robins, Georgia based outfit STILLWATER with never heard before demos recorded probably early 80's where the band had radically changed their style into Pop/AOR except "Ready To Rock" where one more time they showed their Southern side. According to the download page the song titles were chosen by guess cause there only exists an old audio tape with no infos. Furthermore, the audio quality is very different from song to song due various sources. Founded 1973 they released 2 Southern related albums 1977 & 1978 on Capricorn Records, a label what went bankrupt end of 1979 thus the band was without a contract but continued recording some material until about 1982 for a 3rd release but disbanded. They had a minor hit with "Mind Bender" from their 1st album in 1977 and after a long hiatus mid 90's drummer David Heck reformed the band, yet without Jimmy Hall (not related to Wet Willie's singer) the spot of the lead singer was taken by original drummer/vocalist Sebie Lacey. This lineup recorded the third album "Runnin' Free" (published 1998) on which You hear the re-recorded version of "Ready To Rock".
I'm not sure but presume the band plays still today occasionally.
