ROB HOEKE & HEIN VAN DER GAAG - Fingerprints~Boogie Woogie Adventures With (1975)

Very rare vinyl edition from 1975, never reissued on cd. My very first album I got as a Birthday gift aged 13.
Not necessarily a pure piano boogie release, here You hear also some jazzy stuff, a bit latin groove and due the rhythm section (formerly in Cuby + Blizzards) plus guitarist Eef Albers who played some tremendous solos here, few tracks have a more rockin' edge.
Remembering Rob Hoeke (R.I.P.) who already started his work in 1957 collaborated several times with Hein van der Gaag (pictured left on the cover) publishing some records. In 1974 during a car repair he lost almost 2 fingers on the left hand hitting by a fan; his career seemed to be over but he continued his work being able to handle his limitations.
Hoeke died after a short illness at the age of 60.
