Despite having never released a full length record on the label in a solo capacity until now, MOD-COMM 81 has been a mainstay of Dream Catalogue since 2016. First appearing for us as part of our Gottwood Festival takeover event that summer, as well as the next, appearences at various live shows for us in London, and a handful of sets for our NTS Radio residency, Mod has become known as a purveyor of true underground techno and UK dance music. His cult label House Of The Leg, which ran for a few years in the late 2010's, showed off his sense of taste and style by helping artists like Elegance of the Damned and The Microgram break into and become essential figures in what would become later known as the dreampunk scene. House of the Leg's 'bio' on Bandcamp famously read only one word: PUNKS, which says all you need to know about Modders. His own eclectic interest in music, from detroit techno, to UK IDM, to black metal and beyond, refines his own distinct vision and sound. PAGAN is the man himself, looking out at the world in the middle of the grime, brutality and comedy of modern city life, some sense of the unknown world beyond still there lingering on in the spirit.
