. Six years after its inception, the project 'Loomec' released his first studio album "Personal Drugstore" August 23, 2013. The project participants are STEFAN POISS ("mind.in.a.box", "THYX") and Martin Mejzlik ~ once they were at school together, but then for a long time lost sight of each other. Ten years later they met again and decided to continue the job. Viennese music duo can be best described as "electro-pop with a rock influence." Texts written in both German and English languages. Poems vary between German and English, including the pun, a sharp tongue and traditional Viennese melancholy. LOOMEC is not only the name of the project. It is also relevant to the lives of both members of the group. 'LOOMEC' show us new things. 'LOOMEC' points with a special mix of humor, clear statements and sometimes just the opposite with the statement that we need to have more joy in our hearts. Debut album Loomec "Personal Drugstore" will be released on his own label Stefan Poiss. The album begins in a way that will seem familiar to fans "mind.in.a.box" or Stefans other side project "Thyx". His trademark vocoded vocals provide catchy melodies over Glitchy but easy synth beat, only this time with the difference of which is partially located in the German language. While some of the tracks focus on purely German lyrics, some, such as the title track "My Pharmacy" freely mix between German and English.
While some tracks sound very similar to Stefans other projects as the album progresses, many of them combine other elements. With tracks such as "Wie der Wiener", adding in guitar-based rock and gothic elements and more acoustic sounding drums, they mix well with electric moments, providing a good contrast and change. Even vocals from time to time, performed without the vocoder sound adding to the cliffs, before he starts a further impact on the chorus.With 'Loomec', Stefan Poiss took elements that he is already well known and combined them with something new. He released material that fits perfectly in between futurepop and gothic rock, allowing fans of one genre to voyage into unknown territory without being too far from home.
