'Pride and Fall" ~ a project of the city of Stavanger, Norway, formed in 2000 Sigve Monsen, Per Waagen and Svein Joar A. Johnsen. The Group is one of the leading dark alternative music scene. Music can be described as Futurepop ~ recently emerged, electronic dance music genre derived from EBM.
The group originated when Sigve and Svein want to achieve more electronic and club-oriented sound than that which they performed in their goth / darkwave-project An Evening With Kisses. Copied from Dark-World.ru. As a result, Pride and Fall was launched in 2000-2001, together with Per Waagen. Per Sigve played with in the 90s in the doom-metal-band from Stavanger, which was called Vidvandre, where Sigve played the role of vocalist and Per responsible for drums. In Vidvandre also participated Frank Claussen, who later joined the successful Theatre of Tragedy.
Shortly thereafter, Pride and Fall released a demo, then in 2003 the debut album "Nephesh" and the first single "Paragon", which overlook the Dependent Records in Europe, Metropolis Records in the U.S., and Memento Materia in Scandinavia. Their first concerts Pride and Fall in 2004 played outside Norway, including Cyberia / X Club in Holland, at festivals in Belgium and Invitation Dark City in Scotland.
In late 2005, the band released the Internet their second single, "Border", and in 2006, his second full-length album "Elements of Silence". In May 2006, the band toured the UK in support of the group Covenant, in their short UK tour SkyShaper. They were in the Carling Academy in Birmingham, The Liquid Room in Edinburgh, Corporation in Sheffield and Islington Academy in London.
August 17, 2007 the band released their third album, "In My Time Of Dying", which became their last album, released on Dependent, as the label at this time to be closed in connection with the illegal downloading of music, which they contributed. By September 15, 2007 their album "In My Time Of Dying" reached the second line in the German alternative charts, and a limited edition digipack album was completely sold out.
Since 2004, Pride and Fall toured with performances all over Europe, as well as participated in many major music events, including the Castle Party-Bolkow 2007 in Poland, Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig in 2007 and 2009 Kinetik Fest Montreal in Canada.
In 2011, Pride and Fall decided to release a new album, tentatively due in early 2013. The album will be released on Dependent Records, resumed in 2009 and began releasing physical CDs in collaboration with Metropolis Records. This album will be the fourth full~length Norwegians...
