TYOMA is the new incarnation of an experienced electronic artist and producer Artem Kharchenko, known for his previous creative endeavors as R-Tem and a part of Kooqla. The year 2005 saw Artem become one of the dance producers from Russia to receive widespread international recognition/acclaim. His single 'Voiceless' (Kazantip's Anthem) was released by British label Lost Language, while R-Tem himself enlisted support from the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Way Out West and Armand van Helden. All told, R-Tem's output includes more than 20 stylistically diverse releases, varying from progressive house up to electro. His works have been published by Rotary Cocktail, Baroque Records and EMI Music. In 2008 Artem started the band Kooqla ' their debut album proved to be of an extreme importance to the local Russian scene. Kooqladelivered a distinctive blend of lounge music, funk, trip-hop andelectronica. The band advancedwith the release of a couple albums and shared the stage with numerous congenial acts in the range of Morcheeba and all the way up to Infected Mushroom and Gus Gus. During 2014 Artem wrote some new instrumentals, including the famous 'Unclose', a track which earned the statusof the official introduction to the 22nd edition of Kazantip. By the way, the most successful of its edits is the piano version, performed by German jazz musician and ex-Bonaparte member Uri Ginzel. As a matter of fact, it was 'Unclose' which fueled the start of a new Artem's project, simply titled 'TYOMA'. Same year he took off with the recording sessions for his debut album under the new alias. Aside from that, Artem is well known to many European electronic artists and label managers as one of the organizers and masterminds behind Kazantip Republic.
