Original Sound
| Описание: | The [b]Original Sound[/b] Records label was started in the early 1950's by California disc jockey [a=Art Laboe] who popularized the "oldies but goodies" format on radio "KPOP" during the "Art Laboe Show". (for company legal entity, see [l=Original Sound Record Co., Inc.]) Though compilation albums of older material are now commonplace, Laboe was among the first (if not the first) to license material from several labels for the first successful "oldies" albums to hit the market, releasing the compilations on the [b]Original Sound[/b] label. In 1963 the [l411970] gained the engineering and production skills of [a=Paul Buff]. The [b]Original Sound[/b] studio was situated at 8510 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, California, U.S.A. |
