| Описание: | A short-lived [l=Mercury Records] subsidiary founded by [a=Cliff Burnstein], now better known for managing superstar acts like [a=Metallica] and [a=Red Hot Chili peppers]. Blank was intended to chronicle the American punk scene of the late 1970s, but was closed down after only two releases, the influential debut albums by [a=Pere Ubu] and The [a=Suicide Commandos]. (The label also signed a third act, [a=Bizarros], whose album was released on Mercury after Blank folded.) It had no direct relationship with the [a=Misfits]' [l=Blank Records (US)] label, but the band let Mercury use the name of their label (which was soon renamed [l=Plan 9]) in exchange for studio time. |
