| Описание: | Hugely influential Latin label founded in 1948 by [a=George Goldner], responsible for breaking such artists as [a=Ray Barretto] and [a=Tito Puente] and many classic Latin releases. In late 1955 Goldner sold half his interest in Tico Records, (along with his labels [l=Rama] and [l=Gee]) to the partnership of Joe Kolsky and [a=Morris Levy]. In January 1957 they formed [l=Roulette Records] with Levy as president but, by April, Goldner sold out his interest in the four labels. Tico Records was sold to [l=Fania Records] in 1974 and made its last release in 1981. Tico Records back catalog was managed by Roulette from Jan 1957 and by Fania from 1974. LP-xxxx releases are mono, SLP-xxxx are stereo. |
