Bohemian Drips
| Описание: | bohemian drips is a Berlin based label and artist network founded in 2011 by the DJ-duo “lislbar & wermuth”. Its origin was an obscure vinyl night in a small Berlin bar, which developed quickly into an unrestricted platform for experimental vinylists and artists, always up to do mischief in the Berlin underground scene. After “lislbar” had the chance to compile the CD & Vinyl Box-Set “Who’s that man? A Tribute to Conny Plank” in 2013, the collective collaborated with Groenland Records to promote the “Conny Plank Rework Sessions Tour” with events taking place in five german cities. During the tour they worked with artists from the 70s kraut era, such as Jaki Liebezeit, Dieter Moebius, Roedelius and Embryo. By now the bohemian drips team has grown: Together with the Norwegian sound designers from “KLX Audio” they recorded their first vinyl LP called “Zuhause im Weltall”. A record containing binaural Kunstkopf recordings, that were quite literally captured in the Berlin underground. The concept of the LP marks a counterpoint to contemporary production and recording habits: Six artists were invited to compose a piece of music referring to the reverberations of a 60 meter-long underground tunnel under the old Kindl Brewery in Berlin Neukoelln where Portishead recorded “Machine Gun”. The LP was released in november 2014 and summarizes what bohemian drips is all about: providing you outstanding and handmade sounds. |
