| Описание: | Folk-punk legends the Levellers originally set up On The Fiddle Recordings in the early 1990s as a way of releasing limited edition albums to their fan-club members. Tired of major label interference and free of ‘contractual obligations’; they resurrected the label in 2006 to do it themselves and prove a point. After the success of the label’s first DVD release “Levellers - Chaos Theory Live” - the band decided to keep it DIY for their next studio album, “Letters From The Underground” in 2008; reaching the Top 30 for the first time in nearly a decade. The follow up “Static On The Airwaves” repeated this success and with their “Greatest Hits”, the Levellers have proved they really can do it better themselves!. Branching out from releasing their own material, 2013 saw long time associates McDermott’s 2 Hours’ entire back catalogue issued and in 2014, Levellers’ lead singer Mark Chadwick’s second solo album, “Moment” was released to critical acclaim. On The Fiddle’s back catalogue also includes live albums, rarities and a re-issue of Levellers’ debut album from 1990 - ‘A Weapon Called The Word’ which achieved Gold status without ever charting!. |
