| Описание: | [l77210] and [url=http://www.discogs.com/label/Ember+Records+%282%29]Ember Records[/url] started out in the fall of 1996 with the split release of [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/Jazz+June%2C+The]The Jazz June[/url] debut EP "[url=http://www.discogs.com/Jazz-June-The-Necessary-Conditions-Of-Currents-And-Signal/release/749981]The Necessary Conditions Of Currents And Signal[/url]" 7" vinyl record. After the success of this initial release the owners of the two labels Chad Rugola (Keystone) and Ted Kerpovich (Ember) decided to form a partnership and work as a single entity and thus Keystone-Ember was officially formed. The two had also previously collaborated along with Edward Gieda, of An Albatross fame, with the release of a battered women's shelter benefit compilation CD released officially by MayFly, the threesome's record distribution and music festival promotion partenership, in 1995. From 1996 to 1999 Keystone-Ember released four 7" vinyl record EPs and four full length CD albums and gained the status of being one of the first record labels exclusively distributed globally by [l142127]. Unfortunately, Keystone-Ember's fifth CD, Notaword's "You can only grow so much" EP, never made it to production as the parteners decided to dissolve the label and went their separate ways in 1999. Many of Keystone-Ember's albums have since been re-released through other record labels. |
