There is no bottom, no end to the abyss. One by one through the gates, a toll to exist. Each one is balanced in the way a pulse stops. You can feel them strip away, even the faintest heart. Can’t hold my thoughts or my tears together in the end. Still here alone. Crushed against the vaults of heaven. In the dark your face, the taste of every drop I spill. Resign my flesh to be scarred by the chains of hell. Once again I step into the unknown. This is the road that must be walked alone. There’s nothing here to break my fall. And I want this, I need this. Still tangled in this lucid dream of our existence. The loudest voices say the exit is an entrance. Just an ugly portrait, I turn away to my illusions.
