(Jan Heidebo) T'was in the spring of '85, the spring we dance to the data-jive They landed at Pine Ridge, USA, in the afternoon of an April day The interceptors were already there The moment they entered the atmosphere Two green kraft, kind of small, Didn't look like you UFOs all They were forced down on the runaway in a cloud of dust and steam The President ordered a chain put around of guns and laser beams Thousands eyes at TV-screens, suspicious, cold, aware Hiding underground in lead and atrifical air Standing more troops to the area and chopers in the air Then one of the craft seemed to open up, A kind of broke grew from the top It was looking somewhat like a tree in spring, The troops at once aimed at the thing It started: .._. ._. .. . _. _.. ... A voice: "Friends we've known you for so long, We've learned to speak you many tounges Seldom we've dared to interfere, But earthlings! now you see us here With grief we've seen starvation, pollution, nuclear wars Other planets devastated we've seen it all before..." The voice kept speaking soft yet strong Of friendship and of help, it said: "There's nothing we can do but to share with you What we have seen and read, We can give no easy solutions we can give advice instead But it's up to you". You must release yourselves before it's too late "We're coming out now one by one, We come with peace we've brought no arms Grief and worries brought us here, We've come to talk so have no fear". Flickering, nervous, suspicious eyes watched a platform slowly arise A creature stood there both child and man with the the word of "peace" It raised its hand A burst from a soldier, (I saw something in his hand) With a gasp the creature fell (didn't you see it...?) In a flash the craft dissapeared leaving but burned-off spot. Well, they were gonna cheat us anyway".
