David Elfström Lilja has been doing music since the age of 5 when he started playing drums. He grew up in Söderhamn in Hälsingland where he now runs his studio, Studio Svefnheebergi, and the record company I/O Music.
In 2011, 2012 and 2013, Moist was nominated for the Hollywood Music In Media Awards in the Electronica category. In 2012 came his debut album "Moist - Temporary Arrangements" which was already in January named "having created one of the best electronic albums of the year already less than a month into the new year" by the synth portal Elektroskull.
In 2013, Moist was awarded the Söderhamn Municipality's Culture Prize for significant contributions to music and cultural life.
In 2020, Moist released the single Moist - Hearts Burn Slow and got amazing feedback from many places including Wolfgang Flür former member of Kraftwerk who wrote “Your song is a dream, The singer is gorgeous, I love her voice so much, brings me to tears.”
In 2021, Moist was the 2nd artist ever remixed by the legendary German band Tangerine Dream on Moist - Hearts Burn Slow Remix EP.
