| Описание: | The label was established in the spring of 1952 by [a=Charles Mingus] and his then-wife Celia. Soon, [a=Max Roach] became the third partner. Debut was among the early independent labels where the musicians themselves were in charge. At about 1957 releases came to a halt, and in 1962 Mingus allowed a reissue series of the Debut material by the [l=Fantasy] label run by Max and Sol Weiss. Not to be confused with the independent Danish label [l=Debut Records (3)]. |
